My Approach

I am passionate about working with individuals to improve their mental health and everyday lives, developing new and lasting change.  I take pride in being able to deliver a personable and effective approach.

Collaboration is key to therapy.  I endeavour to first understand an individual's current and past difficulties and then to agree goals to work towards.  Together we develop a compassionate and empowering dialogue to achieve these goals and improve mental health.

Clients I work with often report critical thinking patterns and unhelpful behaviours that maintain their difficulties.  Working together to identify and challenge these thinking patterns is at the heart of therapy and key to recovery.

I guide treatment with an aim to ensure individuals feel emotionally contained within the session, increasing their overall emotional resilience.  This enhances their ability to tolerate difficult experiences on a daily basis and engage in everyday life in a more desirable and functional way.
